Take your children to a craft store and let them pick out things that they would like to do. Put together a box with colors, coloring books, white paper, and possibly markers if they are old enough to be responsible with them. If you need to take care of cleaning or preparing dinner, you can take out the coloring box and it is ready to give you a few minutes to take care of your business.
